What we've built

Privacy by architecture, not policy

Privacy promises are easy to make and easy to break. What matters is whether the platform is structurally built to keep them — not just contractually obligated to try. ALTLFE's privacy commitments are architectural. They're not policies that can be quietly revised when commercial pressure mounts. They're built into how the platform works.

Your messages are yours alone

Messages between members are encrypted end-to-end. Our administrators cannot read them — by design. Not as a default that can be toggled, not as a policy that could change. It's how the system is built. Your private conversations stay private.

Your content can't be quietly taken

Every image on ALTLFE carries protection that makes unauthorised sharing traceable and accountable. We're honest about the limits of what's technically possible — and we focus our energy where it's actually effective. If something you've shared appears somewhere it shouldn't, we can find out how it got there.

Deleted means deleted

When you delete your photos or your account, the data is gone — completely and permanently. We are the only custodians of what you upload. There is no copy sitting on a third-party server. No archive. No backup that quietly persists.

No third-party AI — ever

Most platforms send your content to external AI services to moderate it. We're building our own system instead — trained in-house, on our own reference data. Your content never leaves our environment to serve someone else's model.

Built for how you actually relate

Most platforms were designed for solo users. ALTLFE lets partners share a profile together — without either person losing individual control over their own data, visibility, or settings.

Whether you're a couple exploring together, a polycule managing shared connections, or partners who simply want to present as a unit without surrendering individual privacy — the profile structure reflects your relationship, not a template designed for someone else. Your partner's access doesn't override yours. What's shared is only ever what you choose to share.

Why we're different

ALTLFE is bootstrapped. That means no venture capital, no institutional investors, and no pressure to monetise your data to satisfy a returns schedule.

Most platforms in this space were built to grow fast and sell - either to acquirers or to advertisers. That model puts investor interests ahead of community interests, every time. When the money talks, your privacy is often what walks.

We built ALTLFE because we were part of this community and couldn't find a platform we actually trusted. Staying independent isn't just a principle - it's the structure that makes every other promise on this page possible to keep.

Our values on privacy

Privacy is architecture, not policy. We build systems that structurally cannot compromise your data — not systems that promise not to, with fingers crossed behind their backs.

You are not the product. ALTLFE has no advertisers, no data brokers, and no commercial arrangements that treat your behaviour as inventory. The platform exists to serve you — full stop.

Being out is always your choice. Many people in this community are not publicly open about their relationship style. Visibility controls are a core part of how ALTLFE is designed — not an advanced setting you have to find.

Honesty over reassurance. We'd rather tell you what we actually can and can't protect than make promises that sound good but don't hold up. You deserve an accurate picture, not a comfortable one.

Independence makes the difference. Bootstrapped means we answer to our community, not to investors. Every privacy decision is made with one question: what's right for our members? Not: what can we get away with?
